Tasting notes | W, Hourai's second label, reflects the brewery's dedication to quality and happiness. Japanese Comedy TV serenades the fermentation tanks, spreading joy to the sake yeast, brewery staff, and customers. Classified as a Junmai-shu, however the rice is polished to 45% qualifying as a Junmai Daiginjo. Watanabe Shuzouten's W sake presents vibrant and pronounced fruity notes, featuring musk melon, grapefruit, pineapple, and apricot aromas. This sake boasts a heavy, full-bodied character, delivering fresh and profound flavors of kiwi and pineapple. Subtle hints of minerals add depth to the experience, while a touch of pleasant bitterness and lingering warmth complete the journey.
Store in cool, dark place. Refrigerate once open.
