Description
This umeshu is crafted using carefully hand-washed Akita-grown plums,
harvested in early summer. Each plum is meticulously de-stemmed,
and both fresh, green plums and fully ripened, sweetly fragrant yellow plums are used. The plums are steeped in Hideyoshi's Junmai sake,
creating a unique umeshu. After long-term aging,
it retains the rich aroma of the plums while developing a smooth, velvety texture.
Tasting note
This umeshu features an excellent balance of plum aroma,
sweetness, and acidity, with a subtle orange hue developed through aging.
Enjoy it on the rocks or mixed with soda for a refreshing drink.
It's also delightful poured over ice cream.
